Debugging Translation Delays
Reduce pause time between thought and speech in bilingual conversations.
Many learners feel fluent in private and slow in real conversation. The bottleneck is often translation delay: forming the sentence twice before speaking once.
A better drill is to constrain the response length. Ten to fifteen seconds is enough to practice direct speech without giving your brain time to build a full native-language draft first.
We measure improvement by shorter silent gaps, not only by grammar. If hesitation drops, confidence and clarity usually rise together.
